Best Case for the Holocaust (open call for essays)

Prompt: Present, in well-argued prose, the best and most convincing evidence for the Holocaust.

Target Audience: Intelligent/educated general readers (with perhaps basic familiarity with the topic)

Length: Around 5,000 words recommended. Minimum: 3,000 words. Maximum: 60,000 characters (roughly 10,000 words).

Citations: Up to the author. Formal citations are not required, but it would be wise to give readers some means of verifying the material. Links, parenthetical citations, within-text references, "further reading" recommendations, annotated bibliography. Whatever. Footnotes/endnotes are not supported natively by the forum software, so the user would have to try to format that manually.

Submission Process: Just start a new thread here in the Debate forum and post your essay. Make the title something like "Submission: Holocaust Essay," and an administrator will move it here to this pinned thread. Alternatively (and this would not require registration on the forum), you may email a text file with your essay formatted in bbcode (the forum markup language). For email submissions, please include a name/handle of some sort for attribution.

Additional Guidelines

• It must be an essay. It should not be a laundry list of witnesses and documents.
• Be judicious with quotations. Do not pad out the essay with too many long block quotes. When possible, summarize or paraphrase the essentials and link or refer readers to the full source.
• Submissions must be original work. Absolutely no AI/LLM generated text. Do not quote AI/LLM output as a source.

"Why should an anti-revisionist bother with this?" Because you are being generously granted a space on a major revisionist website to lay out your side's case. No tricks. It will even be pinned/stickied here on the Debate board which will ensure visibility.

For Revisionists: Revisionists are also eligible, if any are interested. Revisionists may pretend like they are on the other side and treat it as a rhetorical exercise. Alternatively, it is acceptable to write in an "objective" style with the goal of summarizing the best arguments from the anti-revisionist side as long as you do not undercut or sabotage them in any way. Rhetoric should be favorable or neutral to the Holocaust side.
