I recall interviews with NKWD executioners, but I don't recall that this was specifically about Katyn.
Also, to me it appeared as if those people were interviewed on the territory of the former Soviet Union.


I recall Dr. William Pierce making newscasts on various subjects taken politically incorrect stances on present and past issues. But I don't recall him giving references and sources for claims being made in the text for such a cast. Most of the time it did however check out.

I vaguely recall another source claiming there was an article in an Israeli newspaper in which an Israeli claimed to have either been at the executions or having participated.
The claim by Dr. Pierce seemed to verify it.

I'm still digging for testimony given by the perpetrators in Israel off and on. If I had Dr Pierce's notes, it would help, but I don't.

I've never had anything major like that he said not check out, so, it's out there, just gotta find it.

Interesting story. Abraham Vidra/Avraham Wydra is probably not a totally reliable witness since he was recalling events 30 years after they occurred. From reading that, I get the feeling that he himself may have participated in the killings, substituting some other characters for himself. Wydra is a Polish Jewish name but it's also a Russian one.

Still, this doesn't tell us who the NKVD executioners interviewed in Israel were. Nor can I find them in my own searching. I think it's probable that Pierce misrepresented or misremembered this exact story, since Wydra was interviewed in Israel and he did offer quotes from the men he spoke to.

Yeah it looks like Pierce made a slight error.
It's actually a case of confidant disclosing what he was told.

Wydra was a prisoner himself, but because he was a Jew he was also a confidant.
I think it's safe to assume he didn't get the typical prisoner treatment.
(but as you say he could have been far more than that)

The first book is the "if we get caught, blame it on the Germans" collection. The second book is the "hide it from the Poles, so we don't get caught" collection.

False eyewitness reports from forced Soviet perpetrators and collaborators:

During one visit, in a private conversation, when Karasev asked, "How are you doing?", Vinokurov replied: "Very badly, because our team of 60 people is engaged in very dirty work. The discovery of the corpses and their transportation to the Katyn forest is confirmed by local residents: Mikhail Semenovich Frolov, residing in Smolensk at 21 Bolshaya Sportivnaya Street, and Praskovya Kuzytina, residing in Smolensk near the New Factory. The latter claims that during the exhumation she saw remnants of cloaks belonging to Red Army officers. Vasily Andreevich Peregontsev, residing in Smolensk on Zapolnaya Street, who worked as a shoemaker at a German hospital, claims that the commission in the Katyn forest found only 900 corpses, while the Germans are reporting 12,000. Dr. Nikolai Borisovich, a resident of Rostov, living on 4th Line, went on an excursion with German doctors and participated in the commission for the exhumation of corpses in the Katyn forest. He examined the corpses and read the commission's report. According to him, the commission found 900 corpses, not 12,000, as the Germans are writing. During the examination, it was completely impossible to determine the nationality of the corpses. However, as part of the excursion, they were shown several items of Polish origin, such as coins, cigarette cases, a mouthpiece, buttons, and rings.

Years ago I saw a video on YouTube where people from the area (Katyn) were being interviewed one of them said that Russian officials (NKVD?), at that time, were in the area tracking down and executing suspected witnesses. Up to 5000 were murdered.

On May 3, 1943, the Office of War Information (OWI) Director Elmer Davis was heard in Europe in a Voice of America (VOA) radio broadcast supporting the Soviet propaganda description of the Katyn Forest massacre of thousands of Polish military officers in Russian captivity. What Davis said in the VOA broadcast and in the same commentary aired by U.S. domestic radio networks was one of the greatest Soviet lies of the 20th century. Davis later claimed that he did not know the truth, but there was strong evidence to suggest that he did.
