There never was such a thing as an Americanization of the Holocaust. The Holohoax was an American thing from day one. Keep in mind that, during the last months of WW2 and the following years, ALL the German concentration camps were portrayed as slaughterhouses used for the massacre of millions of Jews and other unwanted people. The fictive distinction between concentration camps and extermination camps is a thing that was created out of thin air 15 years after WW2. And portraying dead people as murdered people and crematory ovens as criminal facilities was part of the trick devised and used by the victors to sell their atrocity stories (hence the portmanteau term "gas ovens," commonly found in old Holohoax tales, and the widespread confusion among the propagandized public). IMO, the gas-chamber story is almost unimportant to the Holohoax itself and too many Holocaust revisionists focus too much on it and therefore lose sight of the bigger picture.
