It is just awesome to see this. Both of these men are absolute animals within their specialized fields. Germar being a scientist, pioneer, author, dissident, and thought leader and Jake being one of the best MMA fighters of all time subsequently using his platform to ask the challenging questions that no other media "experts" dared. To see Germar finally getting a platform and the recognition he deserves (now being a returning guest to Jake's show) is fantastic, as is seeing him spending time with that friendly dog in the first part
It's just a very interesting (and unexpected) mix of personalities. I have enjoyed Jake's fights in the past and of course have been a great fan of Germar's work over many years. Never would have thought to see them in the same room having conversations like these.
For anyone who hasn't seen Jake's fights, here is one of his classic fights (and wins) against UFC Hall-of-Famer Robbie Lawler:

Forensics lack both graves and chambers—only victors' ink stains history's page.
CF, glad to see you talking about Jake Shield's fighting career - he was an excellent fighter, and definitely was in the top tier. Aside from the fights you mentioned, he went on a 15 fight win streak, also beat Dan Henderson (UFC Hall of Famer, double Pride Champion, Olympic wrestler) and subsequently fought and lost against George St Pierre, who is basically considered the pound-for-pound GOAT. Shields went the full 5 rounds against GSP, eventually losing on the judges' cards. A remarkable achievement against the GOAT in his prime. After that loss, he came back to beat another future UFC champ, Tyrone Woodley.
Shields was a top tier fighter, that will likely never get Hall Of Fame recognition because of his podcasts, interviews and opinions!
