New Wiki Site (experimental)

I have set up a new wiki site. It is using MediaWiki software which is the same open source software Wikipedia uses.

I do not have any definite plans here. No major project mapped out. I was more thinking, why not? The software is free and there's space on the server. Worst case, nobody does anything with it. Best case, maybe it will be the seed of something really useful. I explained a bit of my thinking here in this earlier post.

Things like this might have been tried in the past. I know Metapedia has some revisionist wiki content.

Trying to do a full encyclopedia is a ton of work and is not really necessary now that we have Germar's encyclopedia. But I was thinking we could collaborate on a few high quality pages/articles that would synthesize material from the forum and elsewhere to make the info more convenient and accessible.

Content from the forum tends to get buried and is not always convenient to locate. My vision here is that this could be good for making reference pages which could be improved and corrected over time. So often we have the same old things come up over and over and it can be a hassle to try to gather the sources in the moment. And bad faith opponents will bank on that inconvenience. We need to have everything right there, fully sourced.

The wiki software has a few nice features.

• Multiple users can contribute to the articles. This allows for crowdsourcing and can spread out the workload.
• It has an outline of the article allowing you to easily navigate longer articles by section (much better navigation than for a long forum post)
• It has a very good built-in citation system for footnotes.

I have started one example article on the Kola study. I was going to start a thread about the same topic but decided to test it out on the wiki instead.

This is a really good idea. It's similar to the holocaust encyclopedia, but one advantage would be that it can be a work in progress by multiple users and can potentially have more topics. This has the potential to be even bigger than the encyclopedia. And if anyone has a criticism or something to add to the wiki, it can be discussed here on the forum.

One criticism is that the index at the bottom of the Kola page just lists the authors, date, and page but not what the source itself is. So what the source actually is, isn't entirely clear to people who are newcomers. There should be somewhere on the page where the full source can be seen.

Another thing is that since the CODOH forum also touches on things outside the holocaust like WW2 and the Third Reich, I think it would make sense to include things like WW2 revisionism as well.

Yeah, I got tired and lazy at the end. It's not completely finished. I just did shorthand references as a placeholder. I want to check the documentation on multiple references because I think there's a special way to handle sources that are used repeatedly (rather than writing out the full source every single time). I mostly used Mattogno's Belzec book and the newer book on the AR camps.

The old forum had an area for WWII etc but it was underutilized. I hope we can get better coverage of those topics in the future.

Germar designed his encyclopedia to be published in physical form and to keep it to a single volume. An advantage of having something online is that there would not be any such constraints although it will be a long time before this grows to any significant size. Unless the AI tools get good enough to automate a lot of it.
