Adolf Hitler: "Either the Jews will have to adjust to constructive, respectable activities, such as other people are already engaged in, or, sooner or later, they will succumb to a crisis of yet inconceivable proportions."

Confused Jew: "This doesn't make much sense. What were the Jews doing that was not respectable and what kind of crisis was he imagining and how would it come about?"
It still doesn't make much sense but I understand that was a prejudice that was widely available at the time.

Real numbers of Jewish Occupations (estimates, around 1925–1933):

Occupation and % of Jews employed
Trade and commerce ~30%
Liberal professions (lawyers, doctors, teachers, artists) ~11%
Industry, crafts, manual labor ~25%

In Imperial Germany (pre-1918), Jews faced informal and formal barriers in government jobs, the military officer corps, and the highest academic posts. Even though legally equal after the 1871 unification, antisemitic discrimination and old-boy networks often blocked Jews from state bureaucracies and senior officialdom.

Only a small fraction of Jews actually worked directly in banking or high finance. Historians estimate that roughly 1–2% of the total Jewish population in Germany worked in banking, stock brokerage, or large-scale finance. A few famous Jewish banking dynasties (like the Rothschilds, Warburgs, Mendelssohns) were prominent in Germany’s financial history — so they were highly visible. This fueled the stereotype that all Jews were bankers or controlled finance, which was never true.

Germany’s banking sector in the early 20th century was dominated by a few very large “universal banks” — e.g. Deutsche Bank, Dresdner Bank, Commerzbank. These banks were not Jewish-owned, ownership and control were mainly in the hands of German industrial and banking elites.

Jews were more visible in private banking houses (Privatbanken), smaller family-run banks that specialized in merchant banking, loans, and investments. Before WWI, Jewish-owned private banks were indeed significant in cities like Berlin, Frankfurt, and Hamburg. By the 1920s, the large universal banks overshadowed these older private banks. Jewish-owned private banks handled about 10–20% of banking capital around 1900. By the 1920s, this share had declined, as big universal banks and state-controlled banks dominated credit and industrial finance.

Finance isn't an inherently evil activity or profession but financial systems are inherently unstable and will inevitably result in financial crashes, bubbles, and cycles regardless of who is involved.

It is not a bad profession if it is carried out within the rules of the law. Countries today are committing suicide, and it is no exaggeration to say this, because they allow privileged information and speculation to distort the economy, favoring the financial concentration in the hands of a few individuals. No one is accusing the Jews of having robbed Germany in the sense of taking it by force, but rather of exploiting weaknesses and corruption in the system to enrich themselves. The 1934 Jewish-American film about the Rothschilds portrays their concern in helping the Jews in the ghettos and not the native population of their country, that is, they themselves proudly display their involvement in subversive activities and international domination.

Here in Brazil, for example, 5 people accumulate the income of the poorest 100 million people. Would it be possible to do something about Germany during the Weimar Republic? I don't know, but I don't see Jews complaining about their situations in the 1920s. On the contrary, Jews were involved in many controversial services, such as the sexual revolution, cabaret clubs, prostitution centers, etc.

Of course you're going to say that this kind of thing happens in all countries and with any minority or even native peoples, but wouldn't it be the duty of any country to try to curb these practices, regardless of whoever practices them? The argument is that the Nazis persecuted the Jews to be a scapegoat for Germany's problems, but the issue here is that it wasn't restricted to Germany. Most nations didn't want to welcome Jews. Could it be that all of them were mistaken about what they would expect to receive in the form of benefits if they welcomed Jews en masse?

When too much wealth concentrates in the hands of too few people who don't take concerted effort to benefit others, it creates political instability.

The Jews didn't have so much wealth in the Weimar Republic, much of the wealth was owned by German industrialists and the Jews were not very represented in industry.

It is the responsibility of governments to maintain stability and make sure that the economic system works for enough people. From time to time, economies get badly imbalanced and we're starting to see that again in the US.

Your response is pretty unusual here to acknowledge that the Jews were scapegoated and persecuted by Nazi Germany. Most people here don't seem to think that the Jews were scapegoated or persecuted and were simply responsible for all of the chaos and stress that was going on in the Weimar Republic at the time.

How can you guarantee this? What I read most about that period is how the Nazis wanted to expropriate Jews to finance their economy in crisis at the end of the decade. How would the wealth of 500,000 Jews or even less due to immigration alleviate the economic situation of a country of 70 million people? Or would this wealth be too concentrated, generating the problem that all this entails for the perception of the ruling class of a country not being represented by the ethnic population. More than 700 million euros at contemporary values would have been expropriated from Jews deported from the General Government to the Reinhardt camps, especially ghettos, how?

When I say that people say that the Nazis looked for a scapegoat, it was to find simple answers to complex problems, as if people did not cause problems and that problems exist by themselves. That's what I meant, this in no way corresponds to the forum's people not considering the Jews as an organized group in their organizations and international connections as dictating the German and global crises of the time. I could spend hours here quoting politicians from countries citing the Jewish issue as an agent of international instability.

What we see in the US is exactly what Germany felt in the 1930s. If the American racial conception is restricted to immigrants and certain ethnicities, it is yet another case of a lack of historical understanding of the role that certain peoples play as a collective. If Americans consider Latino or Muslim immigrants more dangerous than Jews, good luck to them. As a Brazilian, I have a very comprehensive understanding of the Jewish role in the country's current system, although I consider that the population here is as dormant on this issue as the Americans.

It still doesn't make much sense but I understand that was a prejudice that was widely available at the time.
Lets take a step back. You began this thread asserting that this speech explicitly expressed genocidal intent along with two cursory questions about context. I answered categorically that "no it doesn't". Hektor then responded with this:

Hektor wrote: Sun Jun 08, 2025 4:13 pm
ConfusedJew wrote: Sun Jun 08, 2025 2:54 am "If international finance Jewry inside and outside Europe should succeed in plunging the nations once more into a world war, the result will be not the Bolshevization of the earth and thereby the victory of Jewry, but the annihilation of the Jewish race in Europe."
....
When citing this quote one should also cite the following part of this speech, as well:
"It is possible that the necessity of resolving this problem sooner or later should bring about agreement in Europe, even between nations which otherwise might not have reconciled themselves as readily with one another. There is more than enough room for settlement on this earth. All we need to do is put an end to the prevailing assumption that the Dear Lord chose the Jewish people to be the beneficiaries of a certain percentage of the productive capacities of other peoples’ bodies and their labors. Either the Jews will have to adjust to constructive, respectable activities, such as other people are already engaged in, or, sooner or later, they will succumb to a crisis of yet inconceivable proportions."
Apparently Hitler was in agreement with Theodor Herzl on this.

This part is commonly skipped. Any idea why that may be the case?
It seems you've dropped the "explicit genocidal intent" from your initial argument and are now discussing percentages of Jews in finance

Here in Brazil, Jewish organizations are taking advantage of the country's historical weaknesses, such as its high level of authoritarianism and intolerance towards freedom of expression. This is a fact. Here, these things are just a facade. They are in the Constitution, but the Supreme Court is the one that decides whether they are valid or not. They must be aware of the legal dispute that the Trump administration is waging against the Brazilian judiciary over these issues. Well, here, Jewish organizations sue people for anti-Semitism for anything. In the US, there are even neo-Nazi marches, and they know that there is no point in suing them for hate speech or things like that. However, in other countries, they take advantage of these weaknesses to keep their practices from being scrutinized by the general public. In other words, Jews have a high level of organization that is not seen in other minorities around the world, and they are able to act in accordance with local politics, using lawfare to further their interests.

It was a question more than an argument. I would need to find the full article and translate it into English and look more deeply at the historical context to really understand what he was trying to say.

The percentages of Jews in finance is relevant because it disproves this idea that all or even many Jews were these evil bankers.

Here's a paragraph by paragraph summary of the speech. We can drill down on any section further if you like.
1–3: Anniversary Opening
Hitler begins by reminding the Reichstag and the German people that this is the sixth anniversary of the Nazi Party taking power. He frames the past six years as a miraculous recovery from economic collapse and political disunity.

4–6: Germany’s Supposed Resurrection
He boasts about overcoming mass unemployment and poverty, attributing it to the Nazi leadership and unity under him personally. He credits rearmament and public works like highways for restoring prosperity.

7–10: Internal Enemies Eliminated
He claims that internal chaos from communists and political opponents was destroyed by the Nazi regime, making Germany peaceful and stable domestically.

11–14: Critique of Foreign Critics
He shifts to complain about foreign press and politicians who, he says, spread lies about Germany and wish for its ruin. He accuses them of warmongering and wanting to keep Germany weak forever.

15–19: Germany’s Foreign Policy Justified
He defends Germany’s foreign policy moves (like remilitarization of the Rhineland and annexation of Austria), calling them natural corrections of Versailles injustices. He claims Germany seeks no more than fair treatment.

20–23: Praise of Military Strength
He emphasizes that Germany is no longer defenseless and now commands respect again due to its rebuilt military.

24–26: Anti-Bolshevism — The Red Menace
He presents communism, especially the USSR, as the biggest threat to European civilization. He portrays himself as Europe’s protector against Bolshevism.

27–31: Jews as a Global Conspiracy
He launches into antisemitic conspiracy theories: Jews supposedly run both communism and international finance, profiting from chaos and war. He calls them parasites in every nation.

32–35: Hitler’s “Prophecy”
He delivers the infamous warning: if the Jews succeed in dragging nations into another world war, the result will not be their victory but their annihilation in Europe.

36–39: Deflecting Responsibility
He insists that if war comes, Germany will not be at fault — it will be forced into it by international conspiracies. He presents himself as patient and peaceful but pushed to the limit.

40–43: Peace — On His Terms
He claims Germany wants peace and needs peace to keep prospering, but it must have freedom to expand and grow. He frames this as reasonable self-defense.

44–48: Call for National Unity and Vigilance
He closes by demanding that Germans stay united, vigilant, and loyal. He says that only through total national unity can Germany withstand external plots.

49–End: Celebration and Rallying Cry
He ends with a triumphant note, praising the German people’s loyalty and the Nazi Party’s accomplishments. He proclaims confidence that Germany’s future is secure under his leadership.
Hitler claims that Germany might be pushed to war but he later invaded Poland based on lies. His official excuse was "self defense" and "protection of the Germans" but this false justification simply mirrors how the Nazis justified earlier moves like Austria and Czechoslovakia, but on a bigger scale.

The Polish government did not attack Germany and there was no credible evidence of organized Polish aggression or systematic persecution of ethnic Germans in a way that could justify war. Some tension existed on the border, but it was minor and typical for interwar disputes — not a military threat to Germany. But the Nazis fabricated incidents by staging Polish attacks on German soil (the Gleiwitz Incident) to create a false flag to justify the invasion.

He threatened annihilation of the Jews if there was war but then he created the war to acquire more land and resources for Germany.

He gave that speech in large part for propagandistic reasons. He wanted Germans to feel righteous and united behind him. He signaled that if there was more war or conflict, it would be someone else’s fault — “the Jews,” “foreign warmongers,” “Bolsheviks” which laid moral groundwork for new conquests.

He framed Jews as the root cause of all international problems, gave ideological justification for harsher policies, including forced emigration and future violence, and tested how far he could go rhetorically in threatening genocide.

Britain and France both perceived the speech as a threat and an intimidation tactic. Hitler wanted to prevent them from interfering with his next moves in Eastern Europe, he sought to deter the threat of massive war, and project strength abroad..

Gleiwitz Incident, don't do that to us, man, it's too tiring.

Poor Poland, it didn't even seem like there was mass unrest with slogans like "To Berlin" and more military troops than allowed in Danzig trying to establish a fait accompli of domination against the German majority, the huge customs fees undermining the local economy, the provocations were brutal in the corridor region, Bloody Sunday was after the conflict began but there was already a whole dossier of complaints about mistreatment of Germans and other minorities in the country, I don't believe that was the most important, not even close, the US invades countries on other continents, do you think Mexico would be left alone with these provocations?

As for international Jewry instigating scoundrel politicians in other countries against Germany, that's exactly what happened. Churchill was bankrupt in the 1930s and was saved by The Focus, made up of Jewish figures. From then on, his concern became Germany. It was clear that it was in the Zionists' interest to create chaos in Europe, where the most useful Jews were (yes, they also saw their own people as being between useful and useless) so that they could go to Palestine and build the country. They would never willingly go to that desert.

In Poland by 1939, Germans (Polish citizens of German descent) were literally persecuted, and Rydz Smigly called for war with Germany. On August 30, the Poles even declared a general mobilization. Legally, declaring a mobilization, especially during such a period of aggravation of interstate relations, is war. Nevertheless, Adolf still continued to make peace offers to the Poles almost 48 hours after that. So, although ANY war is bad, the invasion of Poland was not "based on lies".

The Allies gave Poland so-called guarantees that only applied to the invasion of Germany. When, for example, the USSR sent troops into Poland, Messrs. Chamberlain and Daladier "did not notice" such a violation of Polish sovereignty. Why? The answer is obvious. They wanted a war with Germany. Not with the USSR, not the defense of Poland.

The incident in Gleiwitz has little to do with the events that were already happening.

According to some sources, on August 6, 1939, Polish Marshal Edward Rydz-Smigly told the British newspaper "Daily Mail": "Poland wants war with Germany and Germany will not be able to avoid it even if it wants to".

So the Germans were gradually left with no choice. Of course, Hitler is responsible for the invasion. But the question is: what would have happened if he had stayed away?

Hitler's 1939 prophecy never showed "the intention to annihilate the Jews". This was not a threat to the Jews. In fact, it was a warning.

It should be understood that it was given in January 1939, on the 6th anniversary of the bloodless revolution that brought Hitler to power. By that time, it was already obvious that Germany was being pushed into the abyss of war. Hitler believed that world Jewry was trying to ignite a major conflict in the world. He tried to prevent it, and he warned (((them))) in no uncertain terms: do not do this, otherwise your plans will be turned against you.

Later, during the war, various National Socialist figures recalled this prediction, which seemed to be coming true. Adolf Hitler himself mentioned it in his public address on September 30, 1942. It was also mentioned in the "Parole die Woche" ("Slogan of the Week") for November of the same year, which quoted Hitler's speech. Here is the text from their publication:
Their laughter will disappear!!!

On September 1, 1939 (actually, January 30 - ed.) I made two statements at the Reichstag session that day: first, that now that this war has been forced upon us, no military force and no time will be able to defeat us; and second, if Jewry starts an international world war to eradicate the Aryan peoples of Europe, then it will not be the Aryan people that will be eradicated, but Jewry! (It is worth noting here that the translation of the word "Ausrottung" and "Ausgerottet" can mean "eradication"/"eradicated", which does not mean physical destruction - ed.).

They have dragged nation after nation into this war. The people who pull the strings of this crazy man in the White House have actually managed to drag one nation after another into this war. But to the same extent, the wave of anti-Semitism has swept over nation after nation. And it will move on. State after state that enters this war will one day become anti-Semitic.

In Germany, the Jews once laughed at my prophecies, too. I don't know if they are still laughing or if they have already lost the desire to laugh, but I can assure you: their laughter will disappear everywhere!! With these prophecies, I will be right.
Image

As you can see, Hitler was indeed right. His prediction (or rather, his warning) came true, in the sense that the Jews were indeed "eradicated" - evacuated en masse to the East from the Reich. Unfortunately, innocent people suffered during these operations, while the REAL culprits sat across the strait and the ocean, pulling the strings of politicians in Washington and London. But getting to them, getting to Rothschild, Rockefeller, Cohen, Baruch, Hoare and other warmongers was physically impossible.

Some time ago, a book came out claiming that Hitler intended to extend the Holocaust to the Jews in the US and Canada through a report showing statistics on Jews in those countries and a classification of Jewish organizations. Hitler said in a speech that those who laugh today may not laugh in the future. Of course, none of this denotes a Machiavellian plan of extermination, but it thickens their narrative.

The Gleiwitz Incident is historically significant precisely because it was part of a coordinated propaganda plan (Operation Himmler) to fabricate Polish aggression. It wasn't just symbolic — it was used by Nazi Germany to justify the invasion of Poland to the German public and the world.

There were ethnic tensions in the Polish Corridor and Danzig (Free City), especially between ethnic Germans and Poles.
Minority complaints existed, as they did in many ethnically mixed regions in post-WWI Europe. Poland enforced economic policies, like tariffs and trade routes, that frustrated German interests. But there’s no credible evidence that Poland was building up troops in Danzig or preparing for a military conflict. The slogans like “To Berlin” weren’t a national policy or serious military intent. They were isolated nationalist rhetoric, not state action. The idea that Poland was seeking a fait accompli to dominate Germans in Danzig is a reflection of Nazi propaganda, not factual history.

Blood Sunday occurred on September 3, 1939, after Germany had already invaded Poland. Polish forces engaged in skirmishes with German saboteurs and fifth-columnists in Bydgoszcz. Civilian casualties occurred, but the scale and nature of the event were grossly exaggerated by Nazi propaganda to justify war crimes that followed.

Poland was not a global superpower imposing itself on another continent. It was a medium-sized European nation trying to maintain its sovereignty. There is no equivalence between Poland’s actions in the late 1930s and what would provoke war today under international law.
Winston Churchill was supported by a group of individuals — Jewish and non-Jewish — in his anti-appeasement views during the 1930s. The “Focus” was a loosely organized group opposed to Nazi Germany.
They didn’t “buy” Churchill or control his policies.

But Churchill’s opposition to Hitler was ideological and strategic, not bought or manipulated. Churchill had long warned about totalitarian threats — including Stalinist communism and Hitler’s fascism — and stood against appeasement when many others remained silent.

The idea that Zionist leaders wanted Jews to suffer in Europe to force them to migrate to Palestine is completely false. Jewish immigration to Palestine was limited by British restrictions. Zionist organizations were trying to save as many Jews as possible during the Holocaust — not cause it. Many Jews in Europe had no way out — Palestine was one of the few possible destinations, but it wasn’t open enough to save most. Many Jews did willingly migrate to Palestine before and during the British Mandate period — including due to rising antisemitism in Europe.

You keep repeating false Nazi propaganda.
