He says the walls were plastered rather than painted, and elsewhere argues that this material would have been suitable for Prussian blue formation. Multiple people on both sides have examined the ruins of the Kremas and I'm aware of no one who has claimed there was any special paint. (Forum member bombsaway has suggested this but only as a hopeful speculation).
The Cremas were blown up and any special paint would have been exposed to the elements for 40 years. This is speculative sure, just how you guys say millions of resettled Jews were maintained in the Soviet Union with no evidence arising for this. We're both speculators, really, except the entirety of your narrative is basically speculative, whereas for orthodoxy it's narrow areas that revisionists have fixated on due to gaps in the record. Virtually all history that has ever been written has been speculative to some degree.
The Dachau Gas chambers would have been exposed to much higher levels of HCN due to the nature of delousing treatment, both in terms of concentration and duration. Maybe 100x considering both factors.

The walls were were not completely exposed to the elements. Look at the picture I posted in the OP - the roofs of the cellars are only partially collapsed. Some rain getting in is not going to strip all the paint off the walls from floor to ceiling. Especially if this hypothetical paint was waterproof.
The Dachau Gas chambers would have been exposed to much higher levels of HCN due to the nature of delousing treatment, both in terms of concentration and duration. Maybe 100x considering both factors.
Take a look at the Fritz Berg paper I linked in the OP. The Dachau design was relatively advanced. The whole point of the blower and forced ventilation was to speed up the process. The rapidly circulating air penetrated the clothing much more rapidly than the conventional slow release method. Personnel were not even required to use gas masks since the ventilation was so efficient. I don't know the exact fumigation time off the top of my head (would need to check the Degesch manuals) but it was intended to be significantly faster. And the chambers likely would have had much lower moisture which is another a key factor.

"Waterproof paint typically lasts between 3 to 5 years, though it can fail in as little as 6 months to 2 years if subjected to severe hydrostatic pressure or constant moisture."
Berg writes: "The circulation phase lasted about an hour and the ventilation phase lasted at least fifteen minutes. In practice, however, it seems to have taken longer."
It doesn't really matter because you could do delousing throughout the day, and they would have unless they were really inefficient. Internet also mentions higher concentrations being needed for shorter cylces. Berg doesn't mention anything about the concentrations needed for delousing vs human killing? What are they again?
If the manuals speak of something else, you can show me I guess, otherwise I'd say you're being hopeful.

"Last" and "fail" in this context mean the paint may not retain its waterproof properties or may start to peel, flake, etc. It doesn't mean that at three years the paint vanishes into thin air.

AI says
https://chatgpt.com/share/6a8e5ea0-bca8 ... f597c016bd
So I would break it down this way:
No substantial/obvious painted areas visible: ~80–90%
Only tiny, isolated remnants visible on close inspection: ~40–55%
Absolutely no recognizable paint anywhere: ~35–45%
If viewed now, the no recognizable paint chance goes to over 80%.
Did Leuchter or Rudolf talk about looking for paint?

Splitting this off. I don't want to clutter up that other thread with this, er, idiosyncratic theory before patrick has even had a chance to give his response.

There are numerous problems with the special paint hypothesis, many of which have been litigated before.
Examples of such:
https://www.codohforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=10819#p10819
Begin there and scroll down. I'll add some additional thoughts here. Invoking a physical barrier to inhibit the interfacing of HcN with the underlying masonry renders much if not all of the heavy lifting done by Markiewicz, Green, and in turn Van Pelt and others as redundant. They argue the interface was unimpeded.
The only expert to my knowledge who invokes paint is Dr Bailer. He argues its presence is the reason for the blue stains at the delousing chambers ~40 years later. This means Dr Bailer is arguing for a paint that is visible today and has not disappeared. There are 11 refutations that Rudolf makes to this argument section 8.4.1 of TCoA, and not one of the 11 invokes the lifespan of the paint (!).
Eyewitness accounts describe the phsyical appearance as that consistent with the revisionist position:
“The gas chamber at Crematorium II [III] was underground. It had gray walls
and a gray ceiling. The floor was concrete....
..... The walls were made of concrete[sic]"
- Shaul Chazan as per Giden Greif, pg 270/271
Was the floor tiled?
No, the floor was concrete
- Josef Sackar as per Giden Greif, pg 99
The floor was made of concrete. There
were windows under the roof and the room was lit by several lamps. The walls
were white, but outside there were red bricks.
Shlomo Dragon as per Giden Greif, pg 153
What color were the walls of the gas chamber?
Somewhere between gray and white.
What was the floor of the gas chamber made of?
The whole floor was concrete.
Leon Cohen as per Giden Greif, pg 297
All of these descriptions are consistent with the revisionist position, that is an unpainted concrete roof / floor and cement-rich plastered interior walls:
For completeness, there was a separate but i guess somewhat related discussion of whitewash / sealant being applied to the walls between gassings, see here for refutation of this hypothesis:
https://www.codohforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=13013#p13013
To conclude, the special paint hypothesis demands very little attention from revisionists.
- Its existence has yet to be demonstrated
- Orthodox experts' arguments (except one, see below) assume HcN / masonry interface was uninhibited
- Where Bailer does invoke paint, he argues it's presence is visible today (1995) and so is incompatible with the BA hypothesis that it has vanished
- This hypothesis reeks of deus-ex-machina and always will unless it is substantiated in some way

'paint hypothesis' is just one possibility, but sure you can paint concrete white/grey.
It makes perfect sense that they would have taken some precautions to avoid having suspicious Zyklon stains in the chambers.

Good point. Just like the 'German method'.

And then they stripped off the paint so we would think they hadn't taken those precautions! That is some 4-D chess.
I don't believe that bombs actually believes this nonsense he's promoting. He's just being stubborn and/or trying to waste people's time.

Where did they say there was no paint?

That you would even entertain the idea that HcN was prevented from interfacing with the masonry throws Markiewicz under the bus. Green, Van Pelt and others need his readings to be legacy ~1943-era cyanide residues.
That you care so little about this point is indicative that you either don't understand your own argument (i agree with Archie on this point, you are far too intelligent for this) or that you yourself must be somewhat unsatisfied with the underwhelming Markiewicz study that you would throw him under the bus to prop up the paint hypothesis.

I hate to just drop in here to lol, but, I'm going to. This, is a tier of comedy that I never thought I would see, and it is glorious.

What's the point exactly? Markiewicz found higher concentrations of HCN in the gas chambers than in the controls. Nothing here is going your way, except your own delusions (such as the witnesses saying the rooms were unpainted, special paint prevent absolutely HCN from penetrating, rather than low amounts)
and the chief point, paint is just one possibility for the relatively low HCN concentration in the walls, there are many others. You're the ones hyperfixating on paint.

How does anyone reach the conclusion that this person with a name celebrating bombing people is
“far too intelligent” to be still writing this usual fare of incoherent nonsense?
I’m not aware of him ever making a credible argument on
any topic. I’m not exaggerating there.
His only motive for writing here at CODOH appears to be to just wind people up + be a sole voice of contradiction, no matter how lame his supposed argument.
The topic title sums up the lack of intelligence in his argument: which is that everyone replying to him is “delusional” and “fixated” because they are not convinced by his ‘secret paint’ theory?
That’s his best argument?!
