It is however misspelled as RFI. (Could it be Radio France Internationale?)

Hunt is the real deal. How about a compromise. 1 or 2 posts a day that have to go thru you (or me), i.e. that you (or I) have to approve before they are posted.

We all have a lot of respect for him here. You missed a LOT of second, third, fourth, fifth chances where he repeatedly posted extreme-incoherent rants, defamation toward Rudolf, bizarre pedophilia allegations against Elie Wiesel (which may or may not have merit - just not the place for it here, without solid evidence), and lots of profanity, ALL CAPS, and extreme accusations of attempts to censor him despite him being allowed to post like this for days on end and repeated requests to have him simply "tone it down" a bit. It was also spamming the forum in general, with new topics and tons of [attempted] posts daily.

I think some assumed at the time that certain medications may have had a role but this is mere speculation. Archie makes the final call on forum policy and whatnot but I do think Eric has disrespected this forum enough for it to at least warrant his expressed commitment to be more reasonable in the future insofar as respect for others, not posting while you're having a mental episode, or whatever.

I owe much of my early exploration into this topic to Eric so I would support finding some compromise but only if he's committed to doing serious and honest work here, not jerking around. I have seen him posting elsewhere and I know he's still capable of providing meaningful insights but this forum has a reputation of its own which needs to be upheld with some fair quality standards.

It has been many Moons since I set up a phpBB forum from scratch, so I have forgotton more than I learned about the setup and sytems in place. I was rather mortified with Mr Hunts last performance here; he was in fact kicked out of RODOH for similar rants, but can come back in future. I am not one to judge those with apparent mental illness, as it can be controlled, and such people should not be discriminated against forever.
I wonder if Archie can set up a board for Mr Hunt where those who wish to join can do so, but his views are not public.? Let him rant and rave there if he wishes, perhaps the same for Nessie. Sure let him post on the main channels but that should be moderated before appearing. Just a thought.

We tried various approaches like having all his posts approved. Any sort of moderation at all (like disapproving posts, moving posts to a different thread, removing libelous parts of a post with a note) and he would freak out and start saying we were silencing/censoring him. And then he'd start attacking me, Germar, CODOH. He started editing his signature and avatar with such attacks. One time I logged in and I had over 30 notifications, all post approvals for Eric, plus some angry PMs threatening lawsuits and so forth. That was the last straw for me. He will not be posting here again, ever, unless there is a strong indication that whatever he is going through has been brought under control.

He was more trouble than all of the other members put together by a huge margin. The only reason he wasn't banned immediately is because of his name and prior contributions. But there are limits no matter who you are and he exceeded those limits repeatedly and egregiously. If hypothetically Mattogno showed up here and started posting like that, as much as it would pain me, I would have to ban him.

Maybe a forum with rules is too much of a cage for a free bird like Eric. So be it. I wish him well with whatever he's doing but he will need to do it elsewhere. If he puts out anything interesting, people can of course link and discuss it here. His Mengele research, for example.
