This is extremely concerning. Still confused about the supposedly pending charges in Pennsylvania. I thought he dealt with that already and left PA behind? Why is he being charged again? It's hard not to assume pressure is being put on law enforcement and the justice system to "deal" with Rudolf by finally having him extradited to Germany, despite the unprecedented nature of such an extradition. Personally, I suspected something was up already when he was arrested at 4 AM for doing his morning jog. Something doesn't sit right about that arrest and I'd be curious to know if the officer was in any way influenced to find any excuse to have him arrested - which subsequently set all this craziness into motion.

I do not have anything confirmed yet but "word on the street" is that his extradition might not be national but simply pertaining to the states he's being transferred between.

It's hard to say what exactly is happening but given the diversity of stakeholders involved (different police departments and jurisdictions, etc.), and his own admissions in the prior 2019 incident, I am open to the possibility that he actually undressed himself at the end of a workout.

This is treated like a big deal in the USA and so he's in legal trouble but ethics/morality is another question, and nothing I have heard about any of these incidents suggests him doing anything unethical/immoral (e.g. exposing himself to other people intentionally).

Go to any gathering of hippies in the USA (e.g. a music festival), you will see just as many people changing their clothes freely. And from what I hear, this is the culture across Germany. It really isn't a big deal unless someone comes forward claiming this was sexual in nature or exhibitionist (i.e. wanting to be seen, rather than to be left alone).

In public, but usually invisible to others... I presume that at 4:00 in the morning people think that they will be alone there.... They usually are, unless they are watched of course.

Does anybody know what the status of this is? Does Germar even have a lawyer?

As of Friday, he was back in York County jail. He was arrested on a bench warrant, likely for not appearing in court. Given the date for the second set of charges of indecent exposure, etc., and the length of his probation, I’m willing to bet he violated his probation and was going to be re-sentenced for the 2019 offense. He didn’t show in court so a bench warrant was issued. When he was found in NY, the case was updated.

He had bail set at $5,000 today. Presumably if he puts up $500 of that to a bondsman, he can go home. His next court date is set for 2/25.

He’s currently being represented by a public defender.

Here’s some additional case history. I was wrong. He didn’t violate probation. Rather, he had lost an appeal to a higher court to overturn the 2019 conviction. Still, probably a nonappearance at court that resulted in the bench warrant

BREAKING: Germar is finally out on bail, having spent time in both New York and PA jails.
