I found this blueprint of a Topf oven I have never seen before and perhaps others may not have seen and may want for their files?

Odd, I don't see any hole in the roof for the fan that is mentioned by Muller in 'Eyewitness Auschwitz: Three Years in the Gas Chambers'.

On page 13 he states;

'Maurice and I continued stripping corpses. Cautiously I began to look round. I noticed that there were some small greenish-blue crystals lying on the concrete floor at the back of the room. They were scattered beneath an opening in the ceiling. A large fan was installed up there, its blades humming as they revolved. It struck me that where the crystals were scattered on the floor there were no corpses, whereas in places further away, particularly near the door, they were piled high'

So, my question is, where is the fan? Next to the window?

That looks to be of a double-muffle oven at Krema 1 - located in Auschwitz main camp (not Birkenau). IIRC, one or 2 of the 3 were additions from the original number.

Stubble seems to be confusing a gas chamber in Birkenau with a cremation oven in Auschwitz. I can't make sense of his post.

I'm asking about the ventilation system of the facility known as krema 1, as that is what is being referenced in the passage from muller.

He mentions a fan in a hole in the roof humming.

I'm asking where that fan is, or any other reference by anyone to it.

I mentioned the window because muller said he was often called to attention at said window, which doesn't exist.

Muller wasn't at Krema 1 in Auschwitz main camp. He was at K4 or K5 in Birkenau. They had fans in the gas chambers - not the oven rooms. The ovens at K4 and K5 were "double-4"s. One oven with 4 muffles on each side for a total of 8 muffles.

K1 had double-muffle ovens - 3 altogether. The OP looks to be one of the additional ovens added to K1 at Auschwitz main camp. But this is a drawing of an oven - not a gas chamber. The alleged gas chamber in K1 was the morgue room - not the ovens areas.

Read his book.

This passage, at page 13, is in reference to krema 1.

Also, the op says one stop thread for all things krema 1. The morgue is in the facility.

Oh, ok. I did a quick web search and it LOOKED like the things I read would have pertained to K4 or K5 since it said he was involved in BUILDING the krema he worked at. I quite doubt he built K1.

At the Frankfurt Auschwitz Trial they came up with another version... There people were gassed in the basement of one of the main-camp residences, if I recall that righty....

Shoe Display
I was not sure if any of you all have ever seen this deception of the shoe display at the main camp?
Here you can see how the shoes are displayed at an angle to give the impression of many poor souls

You cannot e.g. measure it anymore.

Seems to have been some reworking going on here
