Some help collecting files so I can archive them?

Post by Stubble »

I want to archive and then ruminate on a series of documents and reports that are incredibly dry and unexciting in nature, but, in my opinion are of paramount importance.

These documents are;

• BArch NS 19, NS 4, or RMfRuK files

• Wirtschaftsprüfamt audit trails

• Surviving Bauleitung Ost reports

I need these materials for research purposes.

My German isn't super great, but, I know somebody if I catch a snag.

I will get my spade out and start shoveling. I will see what I can find. If I hit pay dirt, I will post it here.

Thank you for your time.

Some Ost stuffs, I still need to parse it;

A link to how to view BArch NS 19. It appears to be controlled. I'm having trouble sourcing a downloadable copy.

were to guess why no t4 personnel were chosen to perform gassing that had experience with gassing, it would be because THERE WERE NONE.

For clarity and continuity, I am looking for and through these documents as part of my 'where'd they go' research project.

I am interested in these contemporary sources in an effort to resolve an image of operation in the east, specifically with regard to distribution of labor and the overlap with the camp system.

In an effort to determine the last known of the missing jews, I feel it is important to figure out how many of them were provided to various labor organizations in civic works and munitions manufacturing and what their ultimate disposition was.

Part of the reason for this is that we know that there were labor camps of various sizes beyond the Reinhardt camps further east. From documentation, we know that official German State Policy was for jews to be transited east, and we know these camps existed.

I want to know how they were managed, and which umbrella or bucket they fell under. To do this, I need to look at who was in charge of what.

Looking at NS-19 would provide me a window into SS camp operations and lead me in to requesting further documentation in the form of memoranda and I would be able to resolve my search better with who and what date I was looking.

With the Organization Todt stuff, which i still need to finish going through, I'm hoping to form a profile of workers and their location and from that to determine who came from the concentration and labor camp system, who was jewish, where they went, and where they ended up. It doesn't appear that from this one collection i will be able to do that, however, it should be useful for letting me know who managed what when and where and from there i can basically check their mail and see if they talk about this particular in any of their exchanges.

With NS-4 I'm hoping to suss out any 'ghost population' in the labor force that isn't officially referred to or acknowledged, because, after all, a man's gotta eat.

If you are reading this, thank you for your time.

Good luck with your research!

You should consider that we are primarily not looking for Jews fit for heavy forced labour. We are actually seeking those considered unfit for heavy work.

So I've read Hans. I don't suppose you know where I can put eyes on NS-19 other than to, you know, go to Europe, or to the district of Columbia, do you? How about the wartime provisioning documents? Any ideas where to look? You aware of any audits of the system, internal audits?

Documentation.
